IV drips for groups and bachelor parties in Istanbul

5 min read

Istanbul is a great city for a bachelor or bachelorette weekend: rooftop dinners, Bosphorus boats, a hammam, late nights in Karaköy or Beyoğlu. The morning after is the hard part. Half the group wants brunch, the other half can't lift their head. A group IV drip in your hotel suite or Airbnb is one simple way to get everyone back on their feet. Here is how it works, who should skip it, and what it really costs.

How a group drip morning works

One person messages us on WhatsApp with the address, the number of people and roughly which drips you want. Everyone fills in a short health questionnaire, and a doctor reviews every booking before the nurse sets off.

The nurse arrives with everything: drip stands, sterile single-use kits and the bags. From 4 people, one nurse can set up several drips at the same time, so you lie on the sofa and beds together instead of waiting in a queue. Most drips take 45 to 60 minutes. For bigger groups we may send two nurses so nobody waits long.

  • Each person gets their own check: blood pressure, pulse, questions about allergies and medication.
  • Everyone can pick a different drip. You do not all need the same one.
  • The nurse stays until the last bag is finished and the cannulas are out.

Timing it around your plans

The best time is usually late morning, after some sleep and before you go out again. If you have a boat trip at 14:00, book the drip for around 10:00. If the hammam is in the afternoon, do the drip first: hot rooms and dehydration are not a good mix.

You can also book the same night, right after you get back. Visits between 00:00 and 07:00 cost €40 extra, per visit, not per person. Split six ways, that is a few euros each.

  • Book the evening before if you can. Mornings on Saturday and Sunday are our busiest time.
  • Tell us about brunch reservations, check-out times or flights, and we plan around them.
  • Eat something light and drink water before the nurse comes if you can.

Who in the group should skip it

An IV drip is not for everyone, even on a fun weekend. The health check is there for a reason, and the doctor may say no to someone. That is normal, and it is not personal.

If someone is very unwell, keeps vomiting, is confused or hard to wake up, that is not a drip situation. Call 112 for an ambulance.

  • Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Anyone under 18.
  • People with heart or kidney disease, or who take certain medications.
  • Anyone who is still very drunk. We help with the morning after, not with the night itself.

What it costs: two real examples

Prices are per person, in euros, and include the nurse, the drip and all equipment. The €25 visit fee disappears as soon as 2 or more people book together, so groups always save on that.

Example 1: four friends, everyone has the Hangover Rescue at €169. That is 4 × 169 = 676 euros in total, visit free, so exactly 169 each. Add the anti-nausea booster for everyone and you pay 816 in total, or 204 each.

Example 2: six people on a bachelorette weekend. Four take the Hangover Rescue (€169) and two take the Energy Boost (€159). That is 676 + 318 = 994 euros, visit free. If you book at 01:00 after the party, add the €40 night fee: 1,034 in total, about 172 each.

Want more than one booster? Any 3 add-ons cost €69 per person instead of paying each one separately. The calculator on our Groups page does all of this for you before you message us.

Splitting the bill without drama

You can pay by card or cash at the visit. If one person pays for the whole group, we can send a short breakdown on WhatsApp so everyone sees who had what. If people prefer to pay separately, just tell the nurse at the start.

Planning it as a gift for the bride or groom? Tell us when you book, and we leave their name off the group chat until the morning.

Practical tips for hotels and Airbnbs

Most hotels are fine with a nurse visiting a guest, but it helps to tell reception you are expecting a visitor. In an Airbnb, send us the exact pin and the door or flat number.

  • Space: each person needs a bed, sofa or comfortable chair. A suite or a big living room works well.
  • Light and a power socket nearby make the nurse’s job easier.
  • Keep phones charged. 45 minutes goes faster with music or a series.
  • Plan a slow, simple meal afterwards rather than a heavy breakfast right away.

An honest note

A drip gives you fluids, electrolytes and vitamins quickly. Many people feel better after it, but it is not magic, and it does not cancel out a big night. Sleep, water and food still matter. Think of it as a comfortable shortcut for a group that wants to enjoy the rest of the weekend, not as a medical treatment.

General information, not medical advice. An IV drip supports hydration and wellbeing; it does not cure illness. If you have a medical condition, ask a doctor first. In an emergency in Turkey, call 112.
