IV drip at home in Istanbul: prices explained

Short answer
An IV drip at home in Istanbul costs the price of the drip per person, from €149, plus a €25 visit fee per visit. The visit fee is not charged when 2 or more people book together. Between 00:00 and 07:00 a €40 night fee is added. A licensed nurse gives the drip after a doctor reviews your health questionnaire.
Most IV drip guides for Istanbul talk to travellers in hotels. This one is for people who live here: in a flat in Kadıköy, a family home in Esenyurt or a rezidans tower in Ataşehir. If you want a drip at home, you want to know three things before anyone rings the bell: what the price covers, who comes to your door, and what you will pay in the end. Here is the full picture, with our real price list.
What does one home-visit price include?
When you book a drip at home with Drip Istanbul, the price you pay per person is the price of the drip. That one number covers much more than a bag of fluid:
- A licensed nurse who comes to your address and sets up the drip.
- A doctor who reviews your health questionnaire before the nurse sets off.
- A sterile, single-use kit: cannula, tubing, swabs and the drip bag. It is opened in front of you and thrown away after the visit.
- A drip stand, so nobody has to hang a bag on a curtain rail or a picture hook.
- The nurse’s time. The nurse stays with you the whole time, usually 45–60 minutes, or 2–3 hours for NAD+.
Is the visit fee charged per person?
On top of the drip there is a visit fee of €25. It is charged once per visit, not per person, and it is not charged at all when 2 or more people book together.
At home this matters more than in a hotel. A household often has more than one person who wants a drip: a couple down with the same flu, flatmates after a long weekend, or parents and adult children in one family home. If two or more of you book for the same address at the same time, there is no visit fee, and each person simply pays for their own drip.
Booking together changes the fee, not the safety checks. Every adult fills in their own health questionnaire, and the doctor reviews each person separately. Drips are for adults only, so nobody under 18 can be part of a household booking.
Does a home visit cost more at night?
Only by the night fee. For visits between 00:00 and 07:00 we add a night fee of €40, once per visit, and the drip prices themselves stay the same. We work 24/7, because many people only think about a drip late in the evening, when a stomach bug starts or a fever will not settle.
Some symptoms should not wait for a home drip at any hour. Chest pain, trouble breathing, fainting, confusion, blood in vomit or stool, or a very high fever: go to a hospital emergency department or call 112.
How much do add-ons cost?
You can add extras to any drip. Each add-on costs from €25 to €49, or you can pick any 3 for €69. Add-ons are counted per person, so in a family booking everyone chooses their own. The options are glutathione, anti-nausea medicine, extra vitamin C, a vitamin B12 shot, zinc and magnesium. The doctor checks these too: anti-nausea medicine, for example, is not right for everyone.
To be honest, the evidence for extra vitamins in a drip is limited for most healthy people. If you are not sure an add-on will help you, leave it out.
How much does each drip cost?
All prices are per person in euros, with the nurse and all equipment included. The same list applies all over Istanbul, on both sides of the Bosphorus. Our drips start at €149:
- Jet Lag Reset (long flights, time-zone fog): €149
- Myers' Classic (all-round vitamin top-up): €159
- Energy Boost (tired, busy days): €159
- Hangover Rescue (the morning after): €169
- Immune Shield (flu feeling, run down): €179
- Post-Op Recovery (after cosmetic or dental procedures): €199
- Glow: €199
- Hammam Rehydrate (a bigger fluid top-up): €229
- NAD+ (a long session of 2–3 hours): from €390
Which drip will the doctor okay for me?
The price list shows what you can ask for. The doctor decides what is safe for you. Before the nurse sets off, you answer a short health questionnaire on WhatsApp and a doctor reviews it. At your door, the nurse checks your blood pressure and pulse and asks again about allergies and medicines. These things can change the answer:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Heart or kidney disease, or high blood pressure that is not under control.
- Medicines you take, for example for blood pressure, the heart or blood thinning.
- Allergies, including to vitamins or medicines that go into the drip.
- Age: we only give drips to adults, 18 and over.
- How you feel right now: some symptoms need a hospital, not a drip.
Do I always need a drip, or is drinking enough?
A drip supports hydration. It does not cure an illness. For simple, mild dehydration, after a hot day, a light stomach upset or a late night, drinking water or an oral rehydration solution from the pharmacy is often enough, and it costs far less. If you can keep fluids down, try that first.
A drip may be considered when you cannot keep fluids down and the doctor review says it is suitable. Vomiting for many hours, or no fluids staying down for a long time, needs a hospital check instead (112 for emergency signs). The doctor may also say a drip is not needed. That is part of the service. We would rather tell you to drink fluids than sell you a bag you do not need.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
Prices are in euros. You pay at the visit, by card or in cash.
You can cancel free of charge any time before the nurse sets off. Once the nurse is on the way, the visit fee of €25 is charged.
Can I get the price in writing before the nurse sets off?
Yes. With Drip Istanbul, you send us on WhatsApp your address (for a site, also the block and flat number), how many people, which drips and add-ons, and the time you want. We reply with the total in writing, and it is confirmed before the nurse sets off. It only changes if you decide to add something during the visit. A home visit means a person with medical equipment comes into your home, so you should know exactly what you will pay before that happens.
A written price means no surprise at the door, and a message you can point to if anything is unclear. Ask for this from any home service, not only from us.
If you live in a site or rezidans with security at the gate, tell the gate or reception that a nurse is coming. That way nobody waits at the door.
What should I ask any home drip service?
Whoever you book with, ask these before you share your address. A good service answers all of them clearly in one message:
- Is the person who comes a licensed nurse?
- Does a doctor review my health information before the visit?
- Is all equipment sterile and single-use, and opened in front of me?
- Does the nurse stay with me for the whole drip?
- Is the price per person? Is the visit or travel fee per visit or per person?
- Is there a night fee, and from what time?
- Can I pay by card, and in which currency?
- What happens if I cancel?
- Will you confirm the total in writing before anyone sets off?
General information, not medical advice. An IV drip supports hydration and wellbeing; it does not cure illness. If you have a medical condition, ask a doctor first. In an emergency in Turkey, call 112.
