Late-night and weekend IV drips in Istanbul

Short answer
You can get an IV drip at home in Istanbul at night and on weekends: Drip Istanbul works 24/7, holidays included. Drip prices stay the same. Visits between 00:00 and 07:00 add a €40 night fee per visit, and there is no weekend fee. A doctor reviews every booking and a licensed nurse gives the drip. For emergencies, call 112.
Many people do not need an IV drip at 2 pm on a Tuesday. They need it at 1 am after a wedding, at 4 am when a stomach bug will not stop, or on a Sunday when most places are closed. That is why Drip Istanbul works 24/7, every day of the week, weekends included. This guide explains how late-night and weekend visits work and what they cost. It also covers something just as important: when a home drip is the wrong choice and you need 112 or a hospital instead.
Do you really work 24/7, every day?
We take bookings day and night, seven days a week. The process at 3 am is the same as at 3 pm. You write to us on WhatsApp, fill in a short health questionnaire, and a doctor reviews it. This review also happens at night; we do not skip it because it is late. If the doctor says yes, a licensed nurse comes to your home, hotel or Airbnb with sterile, single-use equipment.
Before starting, the nurse checks your blood pressure and pulse and asks about allergies and medication. A standard drip takes 45–60 minutes, and the nurse stays with you the whole time.
How much does a night or weekend visit cost?
The drip prices do not change with the clock or the calendar. A few examples: Hangover Rescue €169, Jet Lag Reset €149, Myers' Classic €159. On top of the drip, these are the rules:
- Visit fee: €25 per visit, not per person. It is not charged when 2 or more people book together.
- Night visit: €40 extra per visit between 00:00 and 07:00. This is per visit too, not per person, so a group shares one night fee.
- Weekends and holidays: there is no separate weekend or holiday fee. Saturday and Sunday use the same price list as any weekday.
Is a home drip an emergency service?
No. Drip Istanbul is not an ambulance and a home drip is not emergency care. At night people often search for an emergency drip, so please read this part carefully. Call 112 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department straight away if you or someone with you has:
- Chest pain, pressure or tightness in the chest.
- Trouble breathing, or breathing that is very slow, noisy or irregular.
- Fainting, or being very hard to wake up.
- Confusion, or sudden changes in behaviour.
- Signs of a stroke: a drooping face, weakness in one arm or leg, or slurred speech.
- A severe allergic reaction: swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, or a rash with breathing problems.
- Signs of alcohol poisoning: vomiting while barely awake, cold or bluish skin, seizures.
- Heavy bleeding, or blood in vomit or stool.
- A high fever with a stiff neck, or strong belly pain that does not go away.
What if I am not sure it is serious?
A drip at home does not replace a hospital. If you are not sure whether it is serious, call 112 and ask. Our doctor may also say no to a booking and tell you to go to hospital; please take that advice seriously. And never leave a friend to sleep it off when they are barely conscious after drinking. Put them on their side and call 112.
Where can I get help with small problems at night?
Not every night problem needs a nurse. In Turkey, in every district, some pharmacies stay open at night and on Sundays on a rotation. They are called nöbetçi eczane, which means on-duty pharmacy. A closed pharmacy usually shows the address of the nearest on-duty one on its door or window. You can also search online for nöbetçi eczane plus the name of your district.
For oral rehydration salts, simple painkillers or a quick question to a pharmacist, an on-duty pharmacy is often all you need.
Why do people book a drip at night or on weekends?
Common situations at night and on weekends. A drip can help with fluids and vitamins, but it is not a cure and it does not work the same for everyone.
- A stomach bug or food poisoning: you lost a lot of fluid and find it hard to drink. A drip gives fluids directly if the doctor says it is suitable. If vomiting goes on for many hours, or there is blood, a high fever or strong pain, go to hospital.
- After a wedding, party or long night out: a drip replaces lost fluid. It does not take alcohol out of your body faster, and it does not make you sober.
- After a long flight: you landed late, feel dried out and cannot sleep. A drip gives fluids and vitamins; daylight, food and sleep still do most of the work for your body clock.
- A weekend with friends: several people in one place can share one visit, and the visit fee is not charged for 2 or more people.
Who should not have an IV drip?
IV drips are not suitable for everyone. We do not give them if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, or have heart or kidney disease. Some medications also make a drip unsafe. That is why the doctor review happens before every booking, day or night. Be honest in the questionnaire, even if it is late and you feel tired.
How do I get ready for a night visit?
A few small things make a night visit easier for you and for the nurse:
- Arrival time depends on traffic and on where the nurse is. At night roads can be emptier, but there can also be roadworks or closures. We do not promise an exact time; we tell you when the nurse sets off.
- Send a location pin and the full address: building name, block, floor and door number.
- If you live in a site (a gated complex), tell us which entrance to use and let security know a nurse is coming.
- Keep the hallway or outside light on, and keep your phone on with the sound up. The nurse may call from a number you do not know.
- If possible, have someone awake with you, especially if you feel very weak.
- Have a list of your medications ready and a bed or sofa where you can lie down.
How do I book a drip late at night?
Message us on WhatsApp with your location, the number of people, the drip you want and a few words about how you feel. We send the health questionnaire, the doctor reviews it, and we confirm the total with any night fee before the nurse sets off. You pay by card or cash at the visit, in EUR, and you can cancel free of charge until the nurse sets off. If anything you describe sounds like an emergency, we will tell you to call 112 instead of booking a drip.
General information, not medical advice. An IV drip supports hydration and wellbeing; it does not cure illness. If you have a medical condition, ask a doctor first. In an emergency in Turkey, call 112.
